Rapid Fire Theatre is proud to be Edmonton's premiere destination for improvised comedy! In 2015 RFT was honored with three awards from The Mayor's Celebration for the Arts, including The ATB Financial Ambassador for the Arts award. We have also been named Edmonton's Best Theatre Company by VUE Weekly readers.

Take one part Cree-Blackfoot war story from Indigenous oral history.
Add one part Jewish fool’s tale inspired by Yiddish literature.
Stir in one part brand new genre – chosen by the audience at each show!

The morning had dawned clear and cold, with a crispness that hinted at the end of autumn. They set forth at daybreak to see the foretold improv show, where stories would soon be woven. Rapid Fire Theatre improvisers rode among them, nervous with excitement. They sought the thrill of the stage, the rush of the crowd and the performance that could possibly cost them their lives. They settled outside the Citadel Theatre cowering in its vast towers, a chill running through their bones. Sarah Mattiello, leader of the improvisers looked upon the empty theatre and whispered, “Improv is coming.”
