Samantha Jeffery is an Edmonton-based actor, improviser, and creator, amongst other things. She graduated from the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program and has since spent her time throwing herself into as much weird experimental theatre/fight/dance/performance art as possible. She has been improvising since 2014.
Sam holds an Intermediate Actor Combatant with Fight Directors Canada and has choreographed some wicked fights as a result. Category E (The Maggie Tree) and Dead Centre of Town (Catch the Keys Productions). Let her know if you need a head slammed on a table!
As an actor, some favourite stage credits include: A Thought In Three Parts (Theatre Outré), Dead Centre of Town: The Haunt (Catch the Keys Productions), I Am For You (Concrete Theatre), and Tamora in Titus Andronicus (University of Alberta).
As a curator, Samantha has founded The Heavy Petting Zoo and curated Nextfest 2016’s SMUT Zoo: The 9th Annual Smut Cabaret. Watch for a brand new monthly show, All The Way Cabaret, in the new year.
