HOW YOU GET INVOLVED WITH RAPID FIRE?
I once upon a time sent an email and said something along the lines of, “Can I audition?” And then they said something along the lines of, “Thanks for the email. You must be invited to audition.” Then the next year, I received an invitation. Via email. To audition.
WHAT ARE THE KEYS TO A SUCCESSFUL IMPROV SCENE?
Emotional investment, and also maybe something peculiar happening.
WHAT ARE SOME TIPS YOU CAN OFFER AUDIENCE MEMBERS ABOUT GIVING SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVISERS?
Sit back and don’t say anything because you are too shy and nervous. Then realize you are not enjoying any of the scenes because you don’t like the suggestions being given. Discover this as a life lesson to speak up for yourself and see the world exist as you would like it to.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SHORT FORM VS. LONG FORM AND VICE VERSA?
I like short form because I get to be funny very quickly, and long form because I get to be funnier for a longer period of time.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR IMPROV STYLE?
WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF RFT?
I live in the local suburb of St. Albert with my parents.
HOW DOES IMPROV COME IN HANDY IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE?
Most of my conversations are not scripted, so I find it really helps me think on my feet in day to day interactions.
