Breck Wiltshire began doing improv in 2011 when he entered the golden gates of high school.
Since then he has performed with and been a member of companies such as Sorry, Not Sorry, Common Crow Improv and Notorious UIG, in which he is the current workshop instructor. He now steps into the role of rookie performer with Rapidfire Theatre. Breck is entering into his fourth year of Education Secondary at the University of Alberta, majoring in English with a minor in drama. From getting a “Winnipeg handshake” on stage in Winnipeg, to fighting down the mean streets of Vancouver and winning Rapid Fire’s very own Maestro, nothing can stop his excitement for the year ahead of him with RFT!

HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH RAPID FIRE THEATRE?
I started off doing improv in my junior high drama class but after a disheartening experience in high school drama I swore to never return. It was then that I broke that swear and joined the University of Alberta Improv Group: Notorious UIG! I was asked to audition at the end of that year, did not get in, swore revenge, and was accepted during the next year!
WHAT IS THE TRAIT YOU MOST DEPLORE IN OTHERS?
Hypocrisy. Does that make me hypocritical to say? I’m gonna say it anyways, just don’t be a lame-o.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE?
I drop way too much money on Magic the Gathering cards. Also, Burger King; post show Burger King is the key to my heart.
WHERE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO LIVE?
Kelowna. I truly love Kelowna. It’s so beautiful, you get the mountains AND a beautiful lake. Plus, the cold is minimal, and I do NOT like the cold. That or somewhere in Asturias, Spain.
WHEN AND WHERE WERE YOU HAPPIEST?
My father passed away when I was 10 years old, and I have this beautiful distinct memory of being in Kelowna with my family when I was probably like 8. My whole family and all of the others staying along the beach were trying to sink the floating dock at night. I was so small that I barely made a difference so I would always get into mischief and push people off then jump in after them quoting the character Stuart from Mad TV by saying “Look what I can do!”
IF YOU WERE TO DIE AND COME BACK AS A PERSON OR A THING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I LOVE dogs, however I also LOVE the Burmese Rock Python. I don’t love cats. So probably a cat, they live a pretty sweet life.
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
Can we do improv at this party?
