Cadence Konopaki worked as a tech with RFT from 2006-2013.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Deaf Studies / Social Policy from the University of Wolverhampton (England), Cadence has worked in non-profit organizations and post-secondary institutions since 2007. Cadence has held management positions with ArtStart, the Alberta Lung Association, and MacEwan University. Combining her love of theatre and experience in non-profit management, Cadence transitioned into the arts sector as the Producer for the Deep Freeze Festival, and subsequently worked as the Managing Director of the Freewill Shakespeare Festival for a number of years.
After spending four years in Ireland, Cadence returned to Canada where she holds the position of Managing Director at Realwheels Theatre (Vancouver). She is also a freelance digital marketer and continues to work as an improv theatre technician for Scratch (with RFT alumni Arlen Konopaki and Kevin Gillese). Cadence believes in the importance of volunteerism and has previously sat on the board of the YMCA of Fort McMurray, Edmonton Arts Council, and Good Women Dance Collective. Other community involvement has included volunteering with Dublin’s Fringe Festival and Edmonton’s Homeless Connect.
