Gail Sidonie Sobat is a singer, performer and author of 11 books and the creator/coordinator of YouthWrite®, a camp for kids who love to write…just about anything!© Gail has presented across Canada, in Doha, Qatar; Hanoi, Vietnam; Bern, Switzerland; Helsinki, Finland; Istanbul, Turkey; and throughout the US. She’s been writer-in-residence in many schools, for EPL, at Queens’ and UofA, and for NorthWords in NWT. Her work is published in academic and literary journals, anthologies, and has been broadcast on radio and performed on stage. Gail is a GlobalTV Woman of Vision and a recipient of the City of Edmonton Arts and Culture Citation Award. Her time playing TheatreSports® was a terrifying delight! She loves teaching improvisation to drama students and her current members of the Spoken Word Youth Choir.

Working with Stephen Heatley; watching the genius of Cathleen Rootsaert, Trevor Beck, Thomas Usher, Joe Bird and Wes Borg.
