In 2013, Joel joined his high school improv club to get closer to a girl he liked. It didn’t work out with the girl but the improv seems to be going okay.

In all seriousness, Joel took to improv right away, performing at the CIG and Nosebowl high school festivals every year of eligibility. He has since gone on to graduate from the Digital Media & IT program at NAIT and is currently looking to create paid opportunities for filmmakers/artists in and around Edmonton. In his spare time, Joel likes to play his guitar.
