Maria began doing Improv in high school where she performed in the Northern Alberta Improv League (NAIL).

She has taken workshops through Rapid Fire Theatre and has performed in International Festivals part of the University of Alberta’s improv group, where she has also graduated from her Bachelor’s degree in Drama and Italian studies. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts at the Guildford School of Acting in England. One of Maria’s main inspirations in life is her Grandmother (Nonna), who taught her that it is always easier to laugh than it is to cry.
