Terry Knickle (he/they) is an Edmonton-based improviser, clown, and drama educator. He is an alum of Grindstone Theatre’s improvised musical, The 11 O’Clock Number, appearing in Seasons 3 through 5 and at the 2017 Edmonton Fringe Festival. After training in Grindstone’s Fall 2019 Improv Conservatory, they joined the weekly Friday Night Clubhouse ensemble from 2020 to 2021, including its run at the 2021 Fringe.
In 2022, Terry co-founded The Kings of Improv at The King’s University as alum advisor, coaching and performing with students, producing shows throughout the academic year, and touring post-secondary improv festivals across Alberta. Since 2023, he has also taught drama as a sessional instructor at King’s.
When not improvising, Terry teaches voice and piano at Copper Cabbage Studios and performs as the clown Tchotchke the Gig. They live with their partner Mark and a tarantula named Squib, and are thrilled to join Rapid Fire Theatre!
