Ron is an award winning actor and improviser and theatre producer, as well as a director. Ron has worked across Canada with theatres including; The Stratford Festival (2 seasons) Soulpepper Theatre, The Tarragon Theatre, The Canadian Stage Company, The Coal Mine Theatre, The Royal Manitoba Theatre Center, Alberta Theatre Projects, Arts Club Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, Theatre Passè Muraille, Theatre Network, Workshop West, The Citadel Theatre, 1000 Island Playhouse, The Free Will Shakespeare Festival, The Grand Theatre, Theatre Aquarius and Teatro La Quindicina and Rapid Fire Theatre.
For 5 years Ron was Co-Artistic Director of Toronto’s acclaimed Improvised Theatre Troupe The National Theatre of the World. As an Improviser Ron has created and improvised with companies in cities around the world including Oslo, Berlin, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and in NYC.
Ron may be best known for his 3 seasons on FOX television’s MADtv (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination Best TV Performance). Other TV credits include The Late Late Show (CBS) Murdoch Mysteries, Insecurity (CBC), Degrassi (CTV), SideKick (YTV), New Eden (Crave), Private Eyes (Global) and a recurring role on The Next Step (NBC Kids).
He is a multiple Canadian Comedy award winner including a win Best Improviser. Ron is a Dora Mavor Moor Award Winner, a 2 time Sterling Award winner and the recipient of the RBC Arts Professional Award. He’s also been nominated for Vancouver’s Jessie Award, Halifax’s Robert Merritt Award. he’s a 3 time nominee for Toronto’s Dora Award for Best Actor and Best Actor in a Musical and a win for Best Ensemble (Wonder Pagent). Most recently Ron has been workshopping new improvised musical aimed for Off-Broadway.
