Odd Wednesday is a monthly alt comedy showcase, featuring the funniest performers in Edmonton doing their weirdest and wildest material. Since 2016, the show has been a space for comedians to step out of their comfort zones and push their creative boundaries. Sketch comedy, character pieces, musical comedy, performance art… if it’s too bold and bizarre for any other show, you’ll find it here. Produced and hosted by local sketch comedy darlings the Debutantes, you never know what you’ll see on Odd Wednesday.
Our November edition will be headlined by Paul Blinov! You may know this Canadian Comedy Award-nominated performer as a longtime Rapid Fire Theatre improvisor, or as a solo sketch comedy dynamo, or as one half of the legendary Gossamer Obsessions, or as an acclaimed journalist and author of We Made It All Up, OR as a writer on the delightful 2024 video game Times & Galaxy. Boy, that’s a lot of stuff! And that’s not all: we’ve also got sketches from Girl Brain and Nat & Chrissy, burlesque from Ruth Gilliland, and a clown performance from Mariel Ansion! A multidisciplinary menagerie of merriment and mirth? Now that’s ODD!
