Unlock imagination, embrace positivity, and get ready to perform! Join our dynamic 10-week improv workshop, happening before our Kidding Around Show on Saturdays.
The Kidding Around classes will be split into two age groups and run simultaneously.
Youngers (ages 6-9): where young minds flourish in a playful and supportive environment.
Olders (ages 9-12): where budding performers sharpen their skills and explore the art of spontaneous storytelling.

Kelly has been with Rapid Fire Theatre for 7 years and has been thrilled to be able to teach all ages for just as long. She is all about seeing the benefits improv brings to everyday life. And most importantly, getting some time in your week to just let loose, be silly, and have fun!

Christina Harbak (she/her) is going into her 10th season with Rapid Fire Theatre and has been improvising since 2011. She has performed in a variety of shows at Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival throughout the years, including as her mischievous character “Christina the Intern”. As an academy instructor, Christina works with people of all ages, but especially loves working with seniors and children. Having spent her own youth in drama camps and classes, she adores the magic of people of all ages discovering and re-discovering how much they love art, performance, and making stories come alive.
Director of Outreach & Welcome, Joleen Ballendine has been teaching improv since 2007. She has taught internationally, is an award winning comedian and performs and writes for television. She is best known for her loud voice, colorful lipstick and her ugly cry on stage!

Susan has been performing with Rapid Fire Theatre since 2019. She began learning through the University Improv Group and later through the Rapid Fire workshops. Susan is a teacher with Edmonton Public and joined the Kidding Around workshops in 2024. She loves all things improv and is thrilled whenever she gets the chance to collaborate with others to discover humour, heart, and a captivating story.
