Improvaganza 2009 was the 9th annual Improvaganza in Edmonton. It was the first year that the festival expanded from just the Varscona Theatre, to a second venue (B Scene Studios, a small basement studio which used to be just a block away on 104 street). This was also the first year of the festival’s iconic “Owl-berta” promotional image, an original design by Jeremy Fish.
Speaking of visual art, this festival also featured Meags Fitzgerald sitting on stage throughout the festival creating illustrations of the scenes as they happened.
