Josh Dean

Josh Dean is an actor and improviser from Edmonton, Canada where he began performing with and eventually (interim) running the world renown RapidFire Theater. With RFT he won improv tournaments all across the US and toured some of the better parts of Europe. He is also proud to be a founding member of Chimprov. Since moving to LA Josh has starred in two improv based sitcoms, “Free Ride” for FOX and “This Might Hurt” for ABC, as well as a traditional sitcom live studio audience pilot for FOX called “the Beast.” Josh can be seen in the movie “YPF” (aka Young People F*cking) which won top honors at the Toronto Film Festival and was #1 on iTunes Canada for two years runnin’. Josh can also be found opposite Dennis Farina and Brooke Shields in National Lampoon’s “Bag Boy” if you can find it, and starring in “Father vs. Son” written and directed by Joe Ballerini. Josh now improvises with ComedySportz LA, does live sketch shows like “Josh Dean …and the special guests” and “The Troubadorables” (both with his wife Celina Dean), and he has appeared a few times at the world famous San Francisco Sketch Festival, opening for Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Rachel Dratch and Horatio Sans. Josh is repped by Jennifer Craig and David DiCamillo of Gersh LA, and is managed by Jerry Silverhardt of Polaris Entertainment. He sure does miss RapidFire though and relies on everything he learned there every single day of his life.
